Diversity really does matter in the modern economy.

A One Day Seminar
It is predicted that over the next 20 years, the ethnic minority population will double to 12% of the total UK population from the current 6% or 3.3 million. This provides both challenges and opportunities. UK plc is in a prime position to become a world-class economy if it manages to harness positively these skills and sbilities. Organisations that develop truly multi-cultural teams will be those that will be able to face the market-driven, electronic, global economies of the future.

Outline of the Day
An overview on multi-ethnic, multi-cultural Britain
  Exploring attitudes to diversity
  Communicating equality & diversity
Understanding the Benefits of a Cross-Cultural workforce
Developing a Diversity Strategy - from Policy to Practice to People

Target Audience
Senior managers dealing with Diversity and Multi-Cultural Workforces or Markets.  (Marketing, sales, purchasing, personnel & finance departments).

Objectives
By the end of this seminar the participants will be able to:
Understand some of the key cultural differences of people from different religious and cultural backgrounds
Better manage their multi-cultural teams and implement a multi-cultural recruitment policy
Understand the social and business case for Diversity and the benefits of a Diversity Strategy

Method
The seminar is highly interactive in nature.  Through active briefing, discussion and enactment of authentic business scenarios (drawn from the clients' own business world), participants are involved in learning and practising new skills.   Case studies and role play exercises are used extensively for maximum impact.
